Volunteer Positions and what that means to you
« on: April 29, 2014, 01:42:38 PM »
As of right now, here is the list of volunteer positions that we currently have at Shadowmoor.  Also listed are the rewards for those positions.  This is to help avoid confusion in the future as to what volunteer position gives you what.  If new positions need to be added or modified, we will let you know.

Thanks
Kevin

Volunteer Positions

Position Gob earned <pulls earned> (work chit signed) {who can do this?}

Monster Town 7 gob / hour <special>(2 hours chit) {unrestricted}
Just show up at the Plot Cabin and do your shift.  Extra rewards for working the entirety of night time Field Battles.  Special group pulls when Monstering with 6 or more for 4 hours or more.

Head of Plot Blanket + Eep Out + Gob Out + 2 <2 group pulls per event> {inquire with Owners}
Blanket for being at the event and doing your job, this includes being there for clean-up.  Eep Out for writing a summary per event as well as an end of year write-up.  Gob Out for communicating with your plot members, not only in person but on the Forums and message boards as well.  The +2 is for all the extra things that are required of you, including being a member of the Steering Committee during your tenure as Head of Plot.

Plot Blanket + Eep Out + Gob Out <2 group pulls per event> {invite by Head of Plot or inquire with Owners}
Blanket for being at the event and doing your job, this includes being there for clean-up.  Eep Out for writing a summary per event as well as an end of year write-up.  Gob Out for communicating with your fellow plot members, not only in person but on the Forums and message boards as well.

Plot Flunky Blanket + Gob Out <1 group pull per event> {inquire with Head of Plot or Owners}
Show up and help the Plot Team in whatever means that is necessary.  That means, that you are awake when the Plot Team is awake and anything that is asked (within reason) of you is done.

Head of Formal -- ??? {restricted}

Formal Marshalls 90 Gob OR special pulls (chit) {determined by Head of Formal and Owners}
Keep accurate records of all formal that needs to be pulled at events.  This also means that if a PC comes to you with Formal to be pulled, even if you are in play, you go pull that formal.

Head Medic 90 Gob <2 group pulls> (chit) {restricted}

Responds to Medic Calls as needed.  Assists Head Medic as required.

Logistics 6 Gob / hour <1 group pull> (chit) {inquire with Owners}
Assists players with their character sheets as needed.  Only characters of 10th level and below should be updating their sheets On Site.

Tavern Workers 5 Gob or 5 gold / hour + free meal (4 hour chit) {unrestricted}
Do what Nancy or Tavern Managers tell you to do.

Tavern Keeper and Tavern Managers {restricted}
These are special positions and you must acquire with Game Ownership if interested.

Armor/Weapon Check-In 5 Gob / hour {inquire with Owners or Armorsmith Guild}
Assist players by checking in armor and weapons before and after (for a little while) Opening Ceremonies in the Tavern.  Can be members of the Armorsmith Guild but volunteers need not be members of Guild to help.

Also, a reminder:

Quote
Every Player is required to work for the game, either 2 hours in Monstertown or 4 hours in the Tavern. This applies even if you have a Season Pass or Lifetime Pass.

You must sign in the MT or Tavern log, printing your name LEGIBLY, at quarter hour increments (:00, :15, :30, :45). When you finish your shift, you must Sign Out, again, writing legibly, and at quarter hour increments (:00, :15, :30, :45)

You are solely responsible for signing yourself in and out of MT and for making sure you have worked your required time. If you allow someone else to sign you in and out and you miss something or the writing is not legible, it is still solely your responsibility.

No one other than the game owners can excuse you from pulling a full work shift. If anyone else tries to tell you that you can be logged in for less than two hours in MT or four hours in the Tavern, they are delivering incorrect information.

If you fail to log in, fail to log out, fail to write in a manner that we can read, or fail to log a full Two Hours in MT or Four Hours in the Tavern, you will not gain build for the event, and you do not get Gob for the time you worked.

Do you also earn rewards based on the other jobs you would do if they overlap?

For example, if I am a Plot Flunky and am asked to monster for four hours during a field battle, will I also recieve gob/pulls based on my monster time?

Not trying to be greedy, just trying to understand. :)

Gene - a plot flunky's duties also including standard monstering, so no double dipping there...

Now, you could get medic rewards and monstering rewards if you met both criteria. (For example)
Need More Death Rogue.

High Sorcery - for when you just don't feel like trying.
